asking questions

You now know how to make sentences as positive statements, so making questions is the easiest thing ever. Questions are formed in exactly the same way as a positive statement – all we do is add the question word măi at the end.

…… măi? · ……?

The sentence form is subject + verb + măi. Any other content in the sentence must come before the question word, as in these examples:

do you ……?	–	khun …… măi?
does he/she ……?	–	khăo/ther …… măi?
do you want to ……?	–	khun dtâwng gaan …… măi?
would you like to ……?	–	khun yàak jà …… măi?
will you ……?	–	khun jà …… măi?
