how many?
The word gèe which we used for not many (mâi gèe) is also used for ‘how many?’ by changing its position in the sentence. Questions concerning quantity must be asked using the correct classifier. Sentence format is like this:
khun mee … object … gèe … classifier …?
how many … object … do you have?
Examples sentences:
khun mee ród-yon gèe khan?
how many cars do you have?
bâan lăng née mee gèe hâwng?
how many rooms does this house have?
khăo mee phêuuan gèe khon?
how many friends does he have?
khun jà séuu dtŭua gèe bai?
