Counting in Thai is very simple. You only need to memorise 18 words to be able to count into the millions!
We’ll begin at the beginning with 1 to 10, and throw in zero and the decimal point too.
Below you’ll find male and female voiced videos and audio files for each digit. All course videos have Thai phonetic with English translation, and Thai script is there too so you can ask a Thai friend to help with pronounciation if necessary.
The numbers are listed as individual audio files below, with female voice first.
sŭun · zero
jùd · decimal
nèung · one
săwng · two
săam · three
sèe · four
hâa · five
hòk · six
jèd · seven
bpàaed · eight
gâo · nine
sìp · ten
Numbers after the decimal point are spoken individually, as in these examples.
sŭun jùd sèe hâa (0.45)
gâo jùd hâa hòk (9.56)
There’s only two new words to learn in the next lesson, because you now know the core numbers!
